Boys Basketball
The basketball team this year will be lead by captains Connor Dignan and Sean Nevin. The team is lucky to have such a special 3-point shooter in Sean Kelly, who is returning from last year and will be a prominent force in the league. There are many returning players as well as some newcomers who will add to the team. Last season they finished 12-10. All of the seniors have made sure that everyone was working hard during the offseason and they will be looking to improve upon what they did last year.
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team is optimistic about their team following last year’s 16-3 season. Julia Borsari, senior captain, will lead the team filled with a lot of talent.
Hockey
The hockey team this season will be combining with Yorktown. Last year’s team had a lot of success with many young players. Combining with Yorktown will only help them where they will be a force in the section. Connor Henderson and Kevin Moroney are the captains.
Gymnastics
Brewster Varsity Gymnastics is coached by Vin Savastano with captains Diana Limitone and Amber Vane. Their hopes for the season are to be undefeated league champions. They finished strong last year with a league record of 4-1 and look to improve on what they did last year.
Track and Field
The track and field team, coached by Coach Scelia looks to improve from the great cross country season. The team has already shown lots of improvement with potential school records in the upcoming season. They will race at The Armory in New York City.
Skiing
This combined boys’ and girls’ team, coached by Mike Belucci and captained by Hailey Cantamessa, Sophie Lester and Chris McCarthy, is looking to begin their practice season on Monday, 12/19, at Thunder Ridge. A relatively young team, they are optimistic about winning their races and returning to the Sectionals at Hunter Mountain.
Wrestling
The Brewster wrestling team is led by Coach Looby and Captains Grant Cuomo and Brooke Pagan. The team has looked very strong in the pre-season. The team has been picking up multiple moves these past few weeks fast and the There’s always room to become a better wrestler, but the team has faith that the players will improve and in time will become better throughout the season.
