Cheerleading
Captains: Emma Antalosky and Addison Galella
Coach: Kelsey Stockton
Overall this season, the cheerleaders have improved so much since the start. The main reason for this is bonding. In August during camp, the team was very separated. There was an awkward atmosphere, and everyone agreed on it. During camp, the team made it their main goal to get closer together. That night, the team started opening up to each other. Crying to each other during the senior send off, laughing together playing Uno, dancing together on the mat, the team began to grow into something more – family. By the end of the season, the team
had became closer than ever, and it showed in the half time performances they did together. The last game, the team hit their halftime routine better than ever before, despite having a music cut out, and overall everyone was very proud of each other.
Looking forward, it is expected for this team to continue to grow and learn more together. The team has already hit new skills in their last few fall practices, leaving high hopes for this winter season. The team is now very comfortable with each other and trying new things, leaving only room for improvement.

Girls Captains: Valentina Brenes, Michelle DiCarlo, Olivia Francis, Nia Lurin, and Katie Mejia-Flores

Boys: Following a successful summer training block and week at Stroudsburg Cross Country Camp, the varsity team won the Dan Purdy Invitational at Pawling High School, came in second in the small school varsity race at the Wilton XC Invitational, and Will Blanck secured an all league spot at the League 1A Championships at Bowdoin Park. Despite the varsity team’s scoring being hindered by two runners suffering serious injuries, the team is looking forward to great individual performances at the upcoming Northern County, Section 1, and Nike Cross Regional championship races as well as through the upcoming Indoor Track and Field Season.
Girls: Wrapping up the Cross Country season, the girls performed great. Starting the season at the Dan Purdy Invitational, medalists Olivia Francis (26th) and Katie Mejia Flores (28th) helped the Varsity team place 6th overall. Continuing the season with the iconic Bears Classic, the Varsity Girls team placed 6th overall, and Junior Maria Denaro (19th) medaled in the JV race. Ending the season at Section 1 Northern Counties, they had many of their girls medal followed with season personal records for Katie Mejia Flores (21st), Olivia Francis (23rd), Michelle Dicarlo (28th), and Valentina Brenes (34th). Field Hockey – Girls Varsity
Captains: Maura McIntyre, Kaitlyn Sayegh, and Lily Katsetos
Coaches: Jamie Flanagan and Jennifer Purcell
Seasonal record: 5-11-1
Maura McIntyre made 300 and 400 saves during the season. Kaitlyn Sayegh and Kaitlyn Flanagan demonstrated strong stick skills scoring multiple goals. Jezabella Fernandez and Skylar Schmitt played an important role on defense, making vital stops during defensive corners. The team is looking forward to training in the off-season and improving our game for next year.
Field Hockey – Girls JV
Captains: Juliet Bryggman and Kylie Goodliffe
Coach: Gabriella Pacheco
Seasonal record: 8-3-4
The team had a good number of highlights this season: Kylie had many good shots and goals, Ashley Barron had many good drives, and Juliet Bryggman had good shots. Also, the team has a big 6-0 slam out against Nanuet on a Saturday morning, tying against RCK (a team that normally beats them really bad). They won 3-0 against Nyack on the road of a Saturday Morning and really big closed games with only 1 goal difference. None of this could have happened without their two amazing captains on the forward line and lead scorers, Kylie and Juliet. The team also had a very tough defense this year that always kept their heads up with long drives and quick thinking. Their goalie, Haley Jaconetti was also able to reach a number of 200 and 300 saves just this season. Right now she is at around 330 saves for her JV career. Their amazing team really put their all into this season and had some great motivation, stick skills, and overall a great team to be a part of and help lead.
In the upcoming season they hope to keep their motivation, never give up, and try to win over those tie games. They hope to gain more players and help them strengthen their skills to become great versatile players.
Football – Boys Varsity
Captains: Marco Parrello and Nick Smith
Coaches: Ed Mulvihill, Ryan Cleary, Matt Cunningham, and Mike Honey
Seasonal record: 5-4
Some season highlights looking back on the year was a dominant performance and win against John Jay at their homecoming with a 21-0 win with Tre Ficarra having a standout 3 TD game and bringing home Lohud player of the week. Also big, a loud and gritty victory vs Nyack 14-7 on their senior night and the team’s first game on the BHS new turf. Also dominant were wins against Lakeland and Fox Lane that really turned the season around. The seniors on this team (including Marco Parrello, Ryan Brace, Abe Sanchez, Josh Walker, Luke Johnson and Nick Smith) really were the glue around this team and the key to their success.
Although going out in the first round of the playoffs was not the result they wanted this year, next year is bright with experienced players like KJ Dillon, Chase Prohaszka, Tre Ficarra, Luke Cunningham, Jack McKenney, Paul Rienzi, and Cameron Lamoureux, who are going to be cornerstones of the team moving forward.

One seasonal highlight that they’ve been looking back at is when they won against Poughkeepsie towards the end of the season: it was a must win game or they wouldn’t have made the playoffs. The team successfully made it into round 2 against Horace Greeley in the playoffs.

Soccer – Girls JV
Coach: Brianna Thomas
Seasonal record: 2-8-2
This season was full of teamwork, discipline, and determination. The defense stood strong, shutting down their opponents. Each player brought strong energy and focus to every game, pushing through tough opponents. Their dedication was clear in every practice session and game, showing a commitment that drove the team’s success. This team has an exciting future ahead, with a foundation of strong defense, teamwork, and determination that promises even greater success in upcoming seasons. The players have developed a deep understanding of each other’s strengths, which will only grow as they continue to play together.
Swimming – Girls Varsity
Captains: Madison Feller, Roisin O’Reilly, and Elyse de Saint Leon
Coaches: Patty Kaufman and Emily Trupia
Seasonal record: 8-2, coming in 5th in Divisionals; headed to Sectionals
This season, the team enjoyed teaching all the new girls how to practice their skills, senior night, and how emotional all the girls get. Also, highlights included swimming the 500 and how members challenged themselves beside much faster swimmers, even beating a lot of the faster girls. Finally, the team celebrated as Madison Feller made sectionals. Next season, the teams wants to continue having fun and building amazing swimmers.
Tennis – Girls Varsity
Captains: Ava Jean DiBenedetto and Hannah Meyer
Coaches: Chip Ackerman, Melissa Geiger, and Shirley Sanfardino
Seasonal highlights included Cassie Fox winning her first ever Varsity Singles match, Jessica Sisalima (Pawling) and Imani Gilbert with a great comeback against Sleepy Hollow, Hannah Meyer’s first win of the season against Somers, Ava Jean DiBenedetto’s first win of the season against Walter Panas, Sky Corradino and Katie Almodovar with multiple doubles wins this season, and the team winning the sports homecoming banner contest!
Next season, the team looks to win more matches, spend more time with teammates, and have more fun.
Volleyball – Boys Varsity
Captains: Ryan Martin, Jamling Sherpa, and Stefan Thomas
Coach: Rob McCollum
Seasonal record: 7-12
This was the first ever Brewster Men’s Volleyball team. They were able to grab 7 wins in the season competing with already well-established teams; this allowed them to clinch sectionals/playoff contention. They only played for three months and were able to compete against teams that have been playing for around 4 years. While the team did not advance, they made big strides for Brewster in Section 1 volleyball being that a first year team was able to clinch a sectional spot. They will miss their seniors Jamling, Stefan, Ryan, and Billy who played heavy roles on the team.
Next season, the team hopes for a better bond as the years go on as well as their team having a better record as they develop with more experience. The team holds many promising underclassmen, looks to advance further in sectionals, and grow volleyball interest within the high school and middle school for boys.
Volleyball – Girls Varsity
Captains: Avery Dudones, Taylor Dudones, and Cassidy Fallon
Coaches: Tom Fabiani and Marissa Tambini
Seasonal record: 10-8
Their game against Scarsdale was a big win this season with energy playing a big part in that huge 3-1 win. Also 4 of the team’s girls made it onto the LOHUD watch list (Amya Aviles, Taylor Dudones, Cassidy Fallon, and Avery Dundones).
Over this season they have had a lot of highs and lows but one thing that is going to help them in future seasons is their energy and team culture. This past year they did a team sleep-away camp over the summer which helped them become closer as a team and as a family.
Volleyball – Girls JV
Captains: Daniella Howell, Leiada Irizarry, and Estrella Knight
Coach: Aidan Babnik
Seasonal record: 6-14
Highlights of the season include looking back to the games they won, cheering so loud when they won their first game, and not wanting to stop celebrating and just to keep jumping up and down and never letting the enjoyment go away. The team is looking forward to next season next year, feeling like everyone is getting better and stronger.
