Which Current Senior Athletes Are Headed Off to Play at College

With a great number of students signing on to play at the collegiate level, we look at where they are going

As the school year comes to an end, seniors are graduating! Many have been recruited to play sports at the collegiate level. This list contains many impressive names that have had a lot of monumental highlights here at BHS.

Being selected to play sports after high school is a very big accomplishment. After high school, only 6% go on to play competitively at the collegiate level. This process is very selective, and only the best are chosen. For many of these students, they have been doing these sports for as long as they can remember, growing up dreaming of this moment.

Colin Krebs: Krebs is a pitcher for the Brewster Varsity Baseball team. This year, he has thrown a no-hitter, and he is going to play D3 baseball for Keene State College in New Hampshire while studying sports management there as well.

Natalie Hayes: A pitcher for the Varsity softball team, Hayes is going to play NCAA III softball for Dean College in Massachusetts. She currently has a 3.45 ERA with 3 hours on the season and a successful .333 batting average.

Jordan Niles: Niles is a Varsity Basketball and Varsity Flag Football player. She plays small forward as her main position in basketball. She is going to play D3 basketball for Alfred State in New York.

Bri Franklin: A varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball player, Franklin is going to study psychology as her major. She is going to be attending Anamaria College in Massachusetts, where she will be playing D3 basketball and volleyball.

Mia Crivelli: Crivelli is part of the Varsity Skiing team. She and her brother Lucas were the Westchester/Putnam boy and girl skiers of the year in 2023. She is going to be studying physical therapy as her major in college. She will be attending Hobart and Smith College in New York, where she will be a part of their D3 skiing team.

Chris DiBiccari: A Varsity Football player and a Varsity Lacrosse player, DiBiccari is attending Suny Delhi here in New York. He will be playing D3 lacrosse and will be studying residential function as his major.

Sienna Santiago: Santiago is a Varsity Soccer player and a Varsity Flag Football player. She plays forward in soccer. She is studying exercise science at Regis College in Massachusetts, where she will also be playing soccer.

Gabby Gileno: Gileno will play varsity volleyball and softball. She will be attending Drew University in New Jersey and will be playing for their volleyball team.

Nora Keating: A Varsity volleyball player, Keating will be attending SUNY New Paltz in New York in the fall and will be studying education while also being a part of their volleyball team.

Adeline Benvenuto: Benvenuto is a Varsity Thrower on Track & Field, and after 2 short years has fallen in love with the sport. She is planning to compete D3 at University of Hartford in CT.

Matteo Guastadisegni: Playing for the Brewster Varsity Hockey team, Guastadisegni will be attending Central Connecticut State University, where he will be studying construction management and playing for their D2 hockey team.

Derek Karlsson: Karlsson is a Varsity Football player. He will be studying Marine Operations with an Engine License for his major. He will be attending Maritime College here in New York, where he will be playing for their D3 football team.

J’Den Thomas: A track runner, J’den was one of the few runners this season to be a part of beating the school record for the 4x100m relay. In the fall, he will be attending SUNY Geneseo, where he will be running track and studying business as his major.

Congratulations to all of these impressive seniors! We will miss them a lot here at Brewster. We can’t wait to see what they do next. We wish them the best and are excited to see what they will accomplish.
