Bear Facts Newspaper Wins National Award
June 12, 2018
The Brewster High School student newspaper, Bear Facts, recently placed 2nd in the 2018 American Scholastic Press Association’s newspaper competition, a group that judges high school and college news publications nationwide. With a total of
830 points, the paper was just 20 points shy of 1st place. (Not bad for a two-year-old paper!) The students and their moderators, Mrs. Amuso and Mr. LoAlbo, look forward to 1st place next year. The Bear Facts team is appreciative of the years of support from the students, the staff, and the community. Congratulations to a writing and editorial staff that is clearly dedicated to good journalism!
